Weather You Like it or Knot

True Story: I spent upwards of two hours poolside on Saturday afternoon. Basking. No agenda, no iPod, not even a book…just good old fashioned sunbathing. I even went swimming a little. I also went swimming on Tuesday…in a torrential downpour that boasted ridiculous winds and scenes shockingly similar to the movie Twister. Yes, my friends, it’s Springtime in Texas!

Outdoor Weddings can be the most breathtaking events, weather permitting. But what happens when a surprise storm rains on your proverbial parade? Will you have bad luck forever? Is your Big Day ruined?

Make It Rain

In some cultures rain is actually good luck, and can represent cleansing or stronger unity in the marriage. The idea that a wet knot is harder to untie is behind this theory. Rain was also a symbol of fertility to agricultural societies, since rain restored and maintained the wellness of crops. Crops were peoples main source of stability and income…so perhaps rain on your Wedding Day could result in you making it rain (cash money style) on many days in the future.

Back It Up

Regardless of how many times you check and re-check the 10-Day forecast, you never know what each new day – or hour, for that matter – will bring your way. This is why you must have a back up plan! Having a Wedding Planner can completely save your Big Day when it comes to last minute changes and emergencies. With the help of a professional planner, what could have been a complete disaster can turn into an amazing one-of-a-kind event that wows your guests. Improvisation, creativity, and resourcefulness are an absolute necessity for any outdoor Ceremony or Reception.
